Name: Jackie
Middleton
Born into a musical family, Jackie started playing clarinet
at the age of five. She played clarinet all through school in the band and
orchestra and in later years, was affiliated with two large brass bands that
played concerts around the Grand Rapids area.
She started playing accordion at the age of seven and was playing in clubs at
the age of twelve. As an Accordion player in the Middleton Trio, she has
enjoyed playing for the enjoyment of both dancing and listening pleasure. She
also loves playing at Nursing and Retirement homes. She has also played dinner
music as a strolling musician in some of our local restaurants.
She played Piano for the children's choirs in her church for a lot of
years.
For over thirty years, Jackie and her brother Larry, managed Middleton's Music
Studio where she was in charge of the office, taught Accordion lessons and did
some selling.
In her spare time, she enjoys doing needlework, & along with Leo and
her daughter, Toni, she
enjoys pontooning, gardening, biking, and spending time with their four pet dogs.
(A short note from Leo: Jackie is one of the most thoughtful,
and kindest persons I have ever met. She will always go out of her way to
help someone, or to say a kind word to someone ).
